Inauguration of Co-Scholastic Activities

The Co-Scholastic Activities at Don Bosco School, Trasi were inaugurated magnificently on 19 th June 2025 in the School Auditorium at 2 pm. The Chief Guest for the program was Mr. Loyson Corda, a renowned Musician. Present on the occasion were the Rector and Principal, Rev. Fr. Maxim D’Souza, the Vice Rector and Vice Principal, Rev. Fr. Bryce Rodrigues and the Administrator, Rev. Fr. Arnold Mathias. The trainers of various activities and the directors of all the School Clubs graced the dais with the dignitaries.

The ceremony began with a prayer service led by the students of Class VII, followed by a warm welcome by Miss Rihanna Salomi Lewis of Class VI. The activity classes were inaugurated with the lighting of the lamp ceremony by all the dignitaries on the dais. Mr. Michael Dias, Skate Trainer, emphasized the importance of co-scholastic activities and shared the valuable tips on how students can make use of the available opportunities to explore their talent.

The Chief Guest, Mr. Loyson Corda was felicitated in a solemn ceremony for all his achievements and contributions to the musical world. Mr. Loyson shared an inspiring message of how he was trained and given direction in the Don Bosco School, where he studied in the early years of his life and that shaped his life for success in the future. He entertained the audience with his musical melodies, including a new composition by him. The audience were delighted with the renditions of songs such as, “Munjane Manjalli”, “Tujhe Vinhne”, “Jindagi Ek Safar”, “Yeh Dosti Hum Nahi Chodenge” and many more. The versatile singer mesmerized the audience with his soothing music.

The Principal, Rev. Fr. Maxim D’Souza expressed deep gratitude to the Chief Guest for his visit to the school. He remarked how the school had awaited Mr. Loyson’s visit for nine years. He stated how proud he is with the achievements of his student, who once dedicatedly learnt, practiced and made music his passion. He encouraged students to take inspiration from Mr. Loyson and focus on the activity they are interested in and make it their passion in the future. He conveyed his gratitude to all the activity trainers and club directors for their support. He appreciated all the students, past pupil and Tr. Sushita Dias for organizing the event efficiently.

The event concluded with the vote of thanks by Master Shaun Rio Olivera of Class VI. The event ended with the National Anthem.
