The 72nd Independence Day of our country was celebrated with great enthusiasm and with the spirit of patriotism. The flag hoisting ceremony was held at 9.30am. Mr. Abdul Raoof, Block Resource Centre Coordinator, Byndoor, was the chief guest for the day who did the honors of hoisting the flag. There were two speeches by the students, focusing on the importance of the day by the cultural program presented by various classes appreciating and highlighting the sacrifices done by the freedom fighters. Mr. Raoof congratulated the students for their excellent presentation of the program. He asked them to be patriotic and cultivate the spirit of fellowship and brotherhood. Fr. Leo Pereira in his speech encouraged the children to go into civil administrative jobs such as IAS, KAS etc. At the end of the program the children were distributed sweets.
