Annual Thanksgiving at Don Bosco School Trasi: A Grand Celebration of Silver Jubilee

Don Bosco School Trasi hosted its much-awaited Annual Thanksgiving celebration, marking not just the successes of the academic year but also a momentous milestone — ushering in the Silver Jubilee Year of the institution’s foundation. The event, which took place on 30th November on the school grounds, saw the participation of students from Class 1 to 5 and Class 12, alongside distinguished guests and members of the Don Bosco community.

The Chief Guest for the occasion, Monsignor Fr. Ferdinand Gonsalves, graced the event with his presence, delivering a heartfelt speech that resonated with the school’s values of hard work, discipline, and faith. He lauded the school for its remarkable growth over the years and its contribution to shaping young minds.

Fr. Banzelao Teixeira, the President of the Annual Day celebration, expressed his joy at seeing the school achieve such a significant milestone. His message was one of gratitude, acknowledging the efforts of both the faculty and students who continue to uphold the legacy of Don Bosco’s vision.

Fr. Paul Rego and Fr. Michael Mascarenhas, both Guests of Honor for the occasion, also took a moment to share their sentiments of gratitude and acknowledging the works of the Salesians at Trasi. Fr. Michael Mascarenhas, the pioneer of Don Bosco Trasi, who was felicitated by the eminent guests, recounted the institution’s humble beginnings and the unwavering commitment to excellence that has propelled the desire of the Salesians for the betterment of the young into its present-day glory. His words brought a sense of nostalgia and pride to the alumni, students, and faculty present.

The celebrations included a vibrant musical performance titled "The Dreamer," an original production by the students that brought to life the vision and legacy of Don Bosco. The musical, performed by students from Class 6 to Class 11, was a spectacle, showcasing the talent, creativity, and teamwork. The story of "The Dreamer" touched on themes of hope, determination, and the pursuit of dreams and the core valuesthat associated withDon Bosco.

The event also featured a series of performances, including dances, skits, and speeches, all celebrating the spirit of gratitude and community that has defined Don Bosco Trasi for the past 25 years.

The Annual Thanksgiving celebration at Don Bosco School Trasi not only marked the school’s Silver Jubilee but also served as a reminder of the institution’s rich history, its dedication to shaping future leaders, and its deep connection with the community. As the school looks toward the future, this celebration was a fitting tribute to the journey so far and the many more milestones yet to come.

Present on the occasion were Fr. Rosario Fernandes, Parish Priest of Christ the King Church, Trasi, Fr. Anisio Mota, In Charage of Don Bosco Attavar, Mr. Santhosh Pais, the President of the PTA, Mrs. Asha Carvalho, the Secretary of the PTA. Fr. Roshan D’Souza sdb, the Administrator of the Institution welcomed the gathering. The Student Leaders, Mr. Darick Lopes and Ms. Anushree V. proposed the vote of thanks. The event was hosted by the a team of 30 comperes.
