Capacity Building Programme on Use of Artificial Intelligence in Classrooms

Trasi, 28 May 2026:Don Bosco School, Trasi, successfully organized a Capacity Building Programme (CBP) on 28 May 2026 with the objective of enhancing the professional competencies of teachers and equipping them with innovative teaching strategies for the evolving educational landscape.

The programme commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries, symbolizing the dispelling of ignorance and the spread of knowledge. This was followed by an introductory address by Rev. Fr. Maxim D’Souza, Rector and Principal of Don Bosco School, Trasi, who warmly welcomed the participants and emphasized the importance of continuous professional development in fostering excellence in education.

The theme of the programme was “Use of Artificial Intelligence in Classrooms.” The resource persons for the training, Mrs. R. Prachi Singh and Ms. Navya G. K., shared valuable insights into the growing role of Artificial Intelligence in modern education. Through interactive presentations and practical demonstrations, they illustrated how AI-powered tools can be effectively integrated into classroom teaching and learning, making the educational process more engaging, innovative, and student-centred.

The sessions were highly informative, interactive, and engaging. Participants actively took part in discussions, activities, and hands-on demonstrations, gaining practical knowledge of emerging technologies and their applications in education. The innovative ideas and teaching methodologies presented by the resource persons were greatly appreciated by all the delegates.

The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from teachers representing Sacred Heart Convent School, Jadkal; Oakwood Indian School, Kundapur; St. Cecily School, Udupi; and Don Bosco School, Trasi.

The event was graced by the presence of Rev. Fr. Maxim D’Souza, Rector and Principal, and Rev. Fr. Sandesh Fernandes, Vice Rector and Vice Principal, whose support and encouragement contributed significantly to the success of the programme.

The programme was efficiently compered by Mrs. Rosy D’Souza. The welcome address was delivered by Mrs. Reena Dorthi, the introduction of the resource persons was presented by Mrs. Rajeshri, and the vote of thanks was proposed by Mrs. Shilpa D’Mello.

The Capacity Building Programme concluded on a positive note with encouraging feedback from the participants. The training proved to be a meaningful and enriching learning experience, inspiring teachers to embrace modern technological tools and innovative pedagogical practices to enhance the quality of education.
