Don Bosco Junior College, Trasi, came alive with energy and excitement as it hosted its annual intercollegiate fest “Explorica 2025” on 25th and 26th July 2025 in the college premises. The two-day event, organized exclusively for the Junior College students, featured a wide array of competitions designed to nurture creativity, talent, and healthy competition among the students.
The fest commenced with an Inauguration Ceremony on 25th July 2025. The Chief Guest, Fr. Thomas Roshan D’Souza, Parish Priest of the Immaculate Conception Church, Gangolli addressed the gathering with an inspiring message on student growth and the importance of extracurricular involvement. The program included declaring the event open as well as unveiling of the Explorica 2025 bannerat the beginning of the event.
Explorica 2025 featured a myriad of competitions across academic, cultural, and creative categories. Events such as quiz, poster making, singing, dancing, art, shark tank and other fun-filled contests were thoughtfully designed to match the capacity and interests of the junior college students. Participants showed immense enthusiasm and sportsmanship, making the event both competitive and enjoyable.
The fest concluded with the Valedictory Program on 26th July 2025, where Mr. Samuel Mario Lewis, Teacher, Vidyaranya English Medium School, Kundapura was the Chief Guest. In his address, he congratulated the students for their active participation and lauded the organizers for a well-executed event. He also mesmerized the audience with his musical melody. Winners were awarded prizes and certificates in recognition of their talents and efforts.
Fr. Maxim D’Souza, the Rector and Principal of the school stressed that Explorica is not just an event, it is a platform where all the students of the Junior College get a chance to showcase their talents and also overcome their stage fear. It is an opportunity where teamwork, talents and leadership skills get formed.
Explorica 2025 not only served as a platform for students to shine beyond academics but also strengthened the spirit of unity and celebration within the campus. The event was a resounding success, leaving behind memories of joy, creativity, and youthful enthusiasm.
