The Feast of St. Dominic Savio was celebrated with much solemnity and fervor on 6th July 2018. A young saint who is the perfect example of holiness and cheerfulness, considered as a role model for all youngsters. The feast began with Catholic students having the Holy Eucharist celebrated by Fr. Leandro Gracious, Rector of Don Bosco Shirva. In his homily he advised the children to be holy and how to find holiness in their day to day life, especially in their families. He said, “ Each of us are called to imitate him as Don Bosco said its very simple to become a saint. 'All we need to do is keep busy and be cheerful”. Later the installation of the leaders and the monitors was then held and Fr. Maxim D'souza spoke on the importance of being a leader. HE explained about the need to be a person of principles and of doing one duty in the best possible manner. This was followed by the oath taking ceremony. Fr. Leo Pereira encouraged the students to be commited to their duties by taking the example of St. Dominic Savio.
This was followed by the “Monsoon Madness”. Various games were conducted for the children in the rain. They enjoyed to the full.
