Trasi, September 11, 2026: The Under-19 Volleyball team of Don Bosco CBSE Junior College, Trasi, emerged victorious at the Udupi District-Level Volleyball Tournament for ICSE & CBSE Schools of Udupi District, held on 11 September 2026 at Sharada Residential School, Udupi.

The Don Bosco team displayed outstanding skill, determination, discipline, and team spirit throughout the tournament. In a closely contested semi-final, the team defeated Little Rock Indian School, Brahmavar to secure a place in the final. Continuing their impressive run, the young Don Bosco spikers faced Madhava Kripa School, Udupi in the final and emerged victorious, thereby being crowned the Under-19 District Champions.

The individual performances of the Don Bosco players further added glory to the team’s achievement. Reevan D’Souza was adjudged “Best Smasher”, while Jovial A. Crasta was declared “Best Setter” in the Under-19 category.

The team was meticulously trained by Mr. Keshav, Physical Education Teacher, whose dedicated coaching and regular practice helped the players sharpen their skills and develop strong team coordination. Fr. Sandesh Fernandes, Vice Principal, served as the Team Manager, providing constant support and encouragement to the team.

The winning trophy was formally handed over to the victorious team by Fr. Maxim D’Souza, Principal of Don Bosco School, Trasi, amidst the appreciation and congratulations of the school community.

Reflecting on the team’s achievement, Samuel A. D’Lima, one of the players, said, “The victory was a collective team effort, born from rigorous practice and the guidance and support of our trainer and the school management.”
